Humanstuck!GamzeexReader CH.1

Glancing down at your watch you suddenly remembered that it was time for an interview that for some unknown reason you'd talk yourself into for a job at the local bookstore. The only problem with that plan was: you where completely late and it was higly doupted that they'd give it to you once you got there. "Great..." You say face palming yourself. Since it was twelve in the afternoon and you weren't gonna walk all the way back to your apartment seeing how your stomack was growling like crazy.

Walking to one of the many fast food places you acceidentally walked into someone who had his earphones and like you wasn't paying much of attention to anything. "HEY WATCH IT!" He said taking the earphones off. "Sorry about that." You say nervously seeing that the guy was ready to snap at any moment. "YEAH YEAH YOU CAN APOLOJIZE ALL YOU WANT TOO." He said walking off not paying any attention to you. What was his problem? You didn't mean to walk into him so why was he so moody about it? Anyways you didn't think about it as you just walked in to the local fast food place.

Ordering some food you set down at one of the tables waiting for it not noticing that the guy who you walked into was in there too with a friend.

"AND THEN SHE JUST WALKED INTO ME!" He told his friend who was wearing a black shirt with a purple hoodie and had blue jeans with what appeared to be faded poka dots on them. "ThAt AlL sOuNdS rEaLlY fUnNy, KaRbRo." His friend told him while taking a bite of a chicken nugget. "SHUT IT GAMZEE YOUR NO BETTER AFTER ALL YOU DO KIND OF SPACE OUT AND EVERYTHING."

"I have a ten piece nugget for pick up for a (N/A)" You hear the speaker and go to retrieve your chicken nuggets from the counter while you do this from the corner of your eye you see the guy you where walked into along with his friend. "What's he doing here?" You think in your head, of course this is a stupid thing after all seeings how this is a fast food place that alot of people like to hang out at for some unknown reason. For the time being you don't worry about it as you pay for your nuggets then taking them back to the table. As you sit down to eat your nuggets you take out your ipod since you didn't have anything else to do you figure you would just hang here enjoying some sweet music along with chicken nuggets.

You enjoy eating your nuggets along with listening to some music for some time then looking back at your watch you see that time had past quickly as it had happened that a hour had gone by, but in your part the nuggets were really delious and the music you had was good. "Wonder if he's still here?" You think to yourself as you look in his direction seeing that he was looking in your direction. Geez how long had he'd been looking at you? Thinking quickly you take your trash to the trash can and then start for the door. "YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING, SHE'S HERE?!?" He says as he continues looking at you. It was then that his friend known as Gamzee Makara was looking at you over his shoulder "ShE's ThE oNe?" He asked with a grin as the one you walked into just stared you down. "Okay weirdo alert." You say as you leave the fast food place.

"HEY!" You hear someone yell at you as you where half way down the street by this point. You had tuned it out for awhile not giving it much thought but by this point it had gotten pretty annoying seeing how the guy seemed to be mad at you for some reason. "What is it?" You asked as you turn to see it was the two from the fast food place. "What do you want?" you asked trying to hide the annoyence in your voice. "HAVE YOU BEEN FOLLWOING ME OR SOMTHING? BECAUES WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU JUST WALK INTO ME LIKE YOU DID BACK THERE?" He asked you and all you did was tilt your head with confusion, why was this guy so bothered by the fact that you walked into him? Surely he could just let it go. You walked over to them trying to explain yourself to the two only to have the one who seemed mad at you looking to be ready to snap at you again. "cHiLl BrO, ShE dIdN't MeAn iT rIgHt?" Gamzee asked you as you where snapped out of your thoughts by the sound of his voice. "Yeah sorry I thought you heard me say I was sorry but I guess you didn't." You say getting a smile and a honk out of the one known as Gamzee. "SeE tOlD yOu." He tells the guy as he just looks away from both of you, you could tell that he felt somewhat awkard for the whole thing still you don't quit understand why he seemed so mad at you. "Um is he gonna be okay?" you asked Gamzee as he looks down at his friend. "YeAh SiS hE'lL bE oKaY." Gamzee tells you with a smile and a... wait... was that a honk you heard? taking a closer look at the two it was clear that the weren't your tipical guys you'd see around for one thing the one that had snapped at you was wearing a grey and red hoodie with a black pants with a red strip going down them with a pair of red converse. Along his was his very unusual friend who looked to be a guitar player seeings how he carried a case for a guitar you guessed.

“So WhAt’S yOuR nAmE sIs?” Gamzee asked as you where snapped out of your thoughts. “I’m (N/A)” You say getting a grin from him. “NiCe To MeEt YoU (N/A) sIs, NaMe’S gAmZeE mAkArA.” You looked at him for a second, Gamzee Makara? He seemed like a nice guy to be around besides his unusual accent. “Nice to meet you too, Gamzee.” You say kind of nervously but were soon snapped out of it as you got a smile and a honk out of Gamzee. “Karkat vantas…” hearing the guy standing next to him said something almost in a whisper say. “Sorry but could you…” He intererupted you before you could finish. “IT’S KARKAT VANTAS, AND I GUESS IT WAS NICE TO MEET YOU TOO.” He told you with a bit of sarcasam at the end.  For some reason he had a pissed off looked in his eye and just walked off leaving both you and Gamzee alone. “Um is he always liked this?” You asked as the two of you look in his direction. “yEaH sIs hE wIlL.” Gamzee says as he has a look of distance in his eyes. You just stand there next to him looking at Karkat then at Gamzee, wondering if you said anything to upset Karkat and also if something happened with Gamzee and him in the past

“GAMZEE STOPPED STARRING INTO SPACE, AND GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!” Karkat yells getting Gamzee attention. He started for Karkat’s direction but before he got closer to his friend Gamzee stopped then turn back to you. “AlMoSt FoRgOt.” He says taking out a piece of paper and writing something down on it. “HeRe Ya Go SiS, cAtCh YoU lAtEr.” He said giving you the piece of paper before walking off. You could only stare at him as he and Karkat walked off hearing him and Karkat talking as the walked away. Turning your attention to the piece of paper with what appeared to be a name written on it: terminallyCapricious. “Is this his pen name? You asked yourself as you put the piece of paper in your pocket. You walked down the other direction so that Karkat wouldn’t snap at you again seeing the local music place you decided to go in, yeah sure you had an ipod but you just like you going in there for some sweet tunes also you knew a guy who always showed up there at this time of day.

“Sup?” you heard a voice from behind and turn to see it was none other then: Dave Strider. “Hey Strider what’s up?” You asked as he walked ahead of you. “Cool as always.” He says stopping and turning to you. The two of you didn’t say anyting as you just walked into the music place. The two of you didn’t come here to buy music as stated before you only came to listen to some sweet tunes. The two of you went to sit at your usual spot but you couldn’t help but notice that they had some new CDs with Gamzee on the cover. “That’s him…” You said as you left to see the CD. “Don’t Turn Your Back on the body?” You said as Dave came to see what you where looking at. “Hey (N/A) what gives thought we were gonna go to the usual place?” He asked before seeing the CD in your hand. “You like those guys? Yeah there good other then the name that is, seriously who names a band that?” Dave said as you continue to look at the cover. Why didn’t Gamzee say anything about it?  Or maybe it was that he just didn’t feel the need to tell you. Either way you were curiouse about him now. “Hey (N/A) you’re kinda staring at that cover, why don’t you just buy it?” Dave suggested even though the need for buying CDs was not something you did but figured you should becaues of this cover, also you where take Dave up on his advise in it being a good band. “Meet me over there when you’re done.” Dave said as he went to sit in the usual place. “K, give me one second.” You told Dave taking the CD to check out. After you bought the CD you met Dave over at the usual place.

“Man can’t believe you bought it.” Dave said as he saw the bag in your hand. “I wanted to see what the hipe was, that’s all.” You told him but really you just wanted to see what Gamzee sounded like singing or playing guitar.“Their pretty good, like I said, I’ve been to some of their shows.” Dave said taking out his ipod and showing you a picture that he had taken. “That’s them their lead singer is this guy.” Dave said pointing to the one in the front with his guitar. “If that’s him do you know what his name is?” You asked curiously. “Um I think its Gamzee Makara or something why do you want to know?” Dave asked with a raised eyebrow. “No reason I was just wondering what his name was that’s all.” You told him looking down at the table that was scattered with a bunch of music magizens. “Um right… so what gives you’ve been acting strange ever since you saw that CD, wait don’t tell me you want to be a fangirl of theirs right?” Dave asked with a slight laugh. You looked at him for a second, a fangirl seriously? Sometimes you wonder if Dave was just using that cool facter of his to cover up the fact that he was a complete jerk sometimes reguardless of you being friends with him. You gave him a look. "Relax I'm just kidding, still though why the sudden interest in a band?" Dave asked and you didn't know how to say it, sure Dave was cool and all but what would he say when he found out you'd met Gamzee Makara? Before you got the chance to say anything Dave got a message from his brother. "Man why couldn't he wait?" Dave asked aloud to know one in particular. "Your bro?" You asked knowing it was aleady him. "Yeah he wants to meet up soon so guess this is it for today." Dave said as he stood from the couch and you follow him outside the store. "See you later, (N/A)" Dave said as he walked off with a wave.

You start walking to your apartment hopefully to get some information about who this Gamzee Makara was, sure you had met him but only once today along with his friend, Karkat. Along with all that you didn't really know all that much about him, acturally what he looked like and the fact that he as was a member of a band was all you knew on him.
